Many photographers state every wedding photo 'fully edited' I don't, I do however edit every image. It seems one persons 'fully edited' means lightly edited to me; I've written a blog post, you can read it here if you want: Click Here. If I see a photograph that I feel will benefit from artistic styling I will create it and it will be on your DVD.
Essentially it took me two hours to create the black and white wedding photo below; if I fully edited all 300-500 wedding photos, I'd have to charge a much higher fee to cover my time.
300 photographs = 600 hours or 50, 12 hour, days. Do you still think they will, or can, fully edit your wedding photographs?
I lightly edit every photograph, to be honest, most need very little editing as I get it right in the camera. Full edits tend to be on images I can't create in the camera, a flash of inspiration I envisaged, when I framed the moment. Like these two images from Wynyard Hall weddings. They are a look I've been asked to recreate by many brides getting married at Wynyard Hall: rich black and white wedding photography, very modern and more than a little creative.
Other than the work to create the rich B&W look, there are 7 major edits between the photos.
